As the name suggests, the 1.6 update adds horses to Minecraft in addition to donkeys and mules plus horse armor and leads had to maintain the animals as well as other mobs from wandering around. One thing to remember with the horse armor though is that it is only able to be within loot chests within dungeons, temples. Hay bales are already added as a new craftable item too because you can't have horses without hay.
4J Studios has admitted to fans that they'll constantly attempt to increase Minecraft's overall world size around the Xbox One and Playstation 4 in the future title updates, but it's unlikely the console games is ever going to actually see infinite worlds. Even though endless map generation is now visiting the more mobile version with the game, the developer of Minecraft's console ports still claims that such a feature isn't possible on new-gen systems regardless of the platforms' superior hardware.
